Connect Salesforce and PipeHalo shows what your ad spend produced in opportunities and pipeline, by channel. Each new opportunity is credited to the channel that sourced it and set next to what that channel cost. Your ad platforms count clicks and leads. Salesforce knows which of them became real opportunities.
What PipeHalo reads, and what it never touches
PipeHalo reads your Salesforce org. It never creates, edits or deletes records. Your team makes every change.
| PipeHalo reads | PipeHalo never does |
|---|---|
| Leads, contacts and accounts, with source fields (no names, emails or phone numbers) | Create, edit or delete leads or contacts |
| Opportunities, with stages, amounts and dates | Change opportunity stages or amounts |
| Campaigns, Primary Campaign Source, and the UTM fields an admin maps in PipeHalo | Change campaigns, fields or automation |
| 13 months of history, synced daily | Sell your data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models |
PipeHalo’s team can’t see your CRM data unless an admin sends a time-limited support code. The read-only page explains how that works.
What you get
Pipeline by channel, next to spend
The Pipeline page credits each new opportunity to the channel that sourced it, using UTMs, campaigns and Salesforce source fields. For each channel you see:
| Measure | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Leads | How many people the channel brings in |
| Opportunities, pipeline, closed-won | What the channel actually produced |
| Cost per lead, cost per opportunity, pipeline per $1 | What each result cost, set against spend |
Source values in Salesforce are rarely perfect. “LinkedIn”, “linkedin” and “LI Paid” can all mean the same channel. An admin can map them in Channel mapping, and the numbers update.
Why one campaign field isn’t the whole story
Many teams report ad pipeline from the Primary Campaign Source field on the opportunity. Salesforce’s own guide says that model assigns 100% influence to the one campaign in that field. If a later campaign takes that slot, the ad that started the conversation drops out of the report.
PipeHalo checks the earliest evidence first: the person’s UTMs, then the opportunity’s, then Primary Campaign Source, then Lead Source. A paid channel that started the conversation isn’t erased by whatever touched the deal last. For the step-by-step setup in Salesforce, read the guide to reporting ad pipeline in Salesforce.
Checks that need a CRM
Ad accounts alone get most of PipeHalo’s daily checks. Salesforce adds the ones that need to know what happened after the click:
- Spend with no pipeline: a channel or campaign keeps spending, but no new opportunities are credited to it. See what to do when LinkedIn Ads create no pipeline.
- Low-quality leads: 30% or more of a channel’s leads from the last 60 days have an unqualified lead status, at least twice the rate of your other channels. See how to fix low-quality leads.
- Broken or missing UTMs: paid leads arrive without UTMs, or with a campaign value that matches none of your ad campaigns.
Each flag shows the money at stake and the steps to fix it, in Salesforce or in the ad platform. The Leadership summary then turns spend, pipeline and fixes into one page for your VP or CMO.
How to connect Salesforce
Setup takes about 10 minutes, ad accounts included.
- A Salesforce admin installs the PipeHalo app in Salesforce once, from the link on the Connections page. It takes about a minute.
- Choose Salesforce and sign in with a Salesforce user that can see your leads, contacts and opportunities. A read-only integration user is best, because Salesforce lets an app do whatever the connecting user can.
- Approve access when Salesforce asks. PipeHalo only ever reads.
PipeHalo loads 13 months of history, and pipeline by channel appears once the first sync finishes. Your ad accounts keep getting their daily checks alongside it.
Frequently asked questions
Does PipeHalo change anything in Salesforce?
No. PipeHalo only reads. It never creates, edits or deletes leads, contacts, opportunities or campaigns, and it never changes fields or automation. Every change is made by your team.
Do I need Salesforce to use PipeHalo?
No. The CRM is optional. Ad accounts alone get the Action Center, the daily audit and the Monday Brief. Salesforce adds pipeline by channel, and every plan includes it.
How much history does PipeHalo use?
Records created or changed in the last 13 months, synced daily. B2B deals often take months to form, so a long window matters.
