PipeHalo audits your ad accounts every morning. It reads campaigns, spend and results, and, if you connect one, leads and deals from your CRM. Out of the box, that’s all it does: it changes nothing.
When you want it to, PipeHalo can also make the fix. An admin turns on Apply for an ad platform, and from then on you can approve a fix and PipeHalo makes the change in that account. Nothing changes until someone approves it, every change stays within limits your admin sets, and you can undo it for 30 days. Apply works in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Reddit Ads. Your CRM is only ever read.
What PipeHalo can and can’t do
| Before Apply is on | With Apply on, after you approve | |
|---|---|---|
| Read campaigns, ads, budgets, spend and results, with 13 months of history | Yes | Yes |
| Explain each problem with the money at stake and the steps to fix it | Yes | Yes |
| Pause campaigns, ads and keywords spending without results | No | Yes |
| Lower an over-pacing daily budget | No | Yes, within the limits your admin sets |
| Block wasted searches with negative keywords (Google, Microsoft) | No | Yes |
| Rotate a tired ad out | No | Yes |
| Change anything nobody approved | No | No |
| Write ad copy into your account | No | No. Pip drafts new copy, and you paste it in |
| Create, update or delete CRM records | No | No |
Work you do inside PipeHalo stays inside PipeHalo. Assigning a flag to a teammate, setting a reminder, snoozing a flag or marking it done changes nothing in your ad accounts. The same goes for Pip, the chat assistant: once you confirm, it can assign a flag, snooze it, set a reminder or mark it done inside PipeHalo.
How Apply keeps you in control
Off until an admin turns it on
Connecting an ad account doesn’t let PipeHalo change anything in it. Apply is a separate switch an admin turns on for each platform, after choosing what PipeHalo may change and the limits it must stay within, such as how far it may raise a daily budget (20% by default).
A person approves every change
Each fix shows the exact change, before and after. Someone your admin allows reviews it and approves it. Admins choose whether admins and members can apply, or admins only; viewers never can. Agency staff can apply in the client workspaces they manage unless the client’s admins turn that off.
Low-risk fixes on their own, only if you choose
An admin can let PipeHalo make two low-risk fixes without waiting for a person: pausing keywords with no conversions in 60 days and adding wasted searches as negative keywords. Each one lands in Change history with Undo, like any other change. Everything else waits for someone to approve it.
Every change can be undone
Before each change, PipeHalo stores exactly what was there. For 30 days, Undo puts it back. If someone has changed that setting since, Undo changes nothing and tells you what’s there now.
A record of every change
Change history lists every change, who approved it, what it was before and after, and what the ad platform said. A week later, PipeHalo checks the flag’s own numbers and marks the change Worked, Didn’t help or Made it worse.
Easy for IT and security to sign off
Security reviews tend to ask the same five questions. Here are the short answers:
- What does it read? Ad account data and, optionally, CRM leads, deals and sources. No contact names, emails or phone numbers.
- What can it change? Nothing, until an admin turns on Apply for an ad platform. Then only the changes a permitted person approves, within the limits the admin sets. Never anything in the CRM.
- Where does the data go? Into your PipeHalo workspace. Connection tokens are stored encrypted.
- Who can see it? People you invite to the workspace. PipeHalo’s own team can’t see it without a support code from your admin.
- How do we remove it? Disconnect, and the synced data is deleted.
If your company wants PipeHalo to stay read-only, leave Apply off. Everything else, from the daily audit to pipeline by channel, works the same.
What PipeHalo reads
| Source | What’s read | What it’s used for |
|---|---|---|
| Ad accounts (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit Ads) | Accounts, campaigns, ads, budgets, spend, impressions, clicks, conversions | The daily checks, pacing forecasts, cost trends and reports |
| History | 13 months, synced daily | Comparing each campaign with its own recent past |
| CRM, optional (HubSpot or Salesforce) | Leads, deals and source fields such as UTMs and campaigns | Pipeline by channel: which channel sourced each new deal, next to spend |
Meta Ads is coming soon. See every current connection on the integrations page.
The CRM is optional. Ad accounts alone get you the Action Center, the daily audit and the Monday Brief. Connecting HubSpot or Salesforce adds pipeline by channel.
How your data is used
Your data runs your audits, your reports and your answers from Pip. That’s it.
- Never sold. Not to anyone, in any form.
- Never used for advertising. Not for PipeHalo’s ads or anyone else’s.
- Never used to train AI models. Your numbers answer your questions and nothing else.
Who at PipeHalo can see your campaigns
By default, no one. PipeHalo’s team can’t see a customer’s campaigns or CRM data.
If you want help with something specific, a workspace admin creates a support code in Settings, valid for 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days, and sends it to PipeHalo. Access lasts only as long as the code. You can revoke it sooner in Settings, and the support session ends. If you report a problem with an explanation, you tick a box to let support see that one flag’s data.
Disconnecting and deleting your data
You can disconnect any ad account or CRM at any time. Disconnecting deletes the data synced from that connection and PipeHalo’s stored access to it, then revokes that access at the platform where the platform allows it. Microsoft Ads doesn’t, so also remove PipeHalo from your Microsoft account’s app permissions.
You can also remove access from your side. For example, Google lets you remove a third-party app’s access from your Google Account settings.
For the full process, see how PipeHalo deletes your data. For what PipeHalo collects and why, read the privacy policy.
Related questions
Can PipeHalo pause a campaign if something goes badly wrong?
Only if you approve it. With Apply on for that platform, the flag offers the change, and PipeHalo makes it once someone approves. With Apply off, PipeHalo flags the problem, shows the money at stake and lists the steps to fix it in the platform, and someone on your team makes the change.
Does Pip make changes in my ad accounts?
Only after you confirm. Ask Pip to fix a flag, and it shows you the change, before and after. Once you confirm, PipeHalo makes it with the same limits, Change history and Undo as Apply. Inside PipeHalo, Pip can also assign a flag, snooze it, set a reminder or mark it done once you confirm.
Do I have to connect my CRM?
No. Ad accounts alone get the daily audit, the Action Center and the Monday Brief. The CRM adds pipeline by channel, and PipeHalo only ever reads it.
