Connect Google Ads and PipeHalo checks every campaign in your accounts every morning. Each problem arrives with the money at stake and the steps to fix it in Google Ads. Add HubSpot or Salesforce, and you see which campaigns turned into pipeline, not just clicks.
What PipeHalo reads, and what it changes
PipeHalo reads your Google Ads accounts every day. With Apply turned on, it also makes the fixes you approve: pausing or enabling a campaign or ad, changing a daily budget or rotating a tired ad out. Nothing changes until someone on your team approves it, every change stays within limits your admin sets, and you can undo it for 30 days. Your team can still make any change in Google Ads itself.
| PipeHalo reads | PipeHalo never does |
|---|---|
| Accounts, campaigns, ad groups and ads | Change anything until Apply is on and someone on your team approves the change |
| Budgets and spend | Change a budget past the limits your admin sets |
| Impressions, clicks, costs and conversions | Change conversion settings or tracking |
| 13 months of history, synced daily | Sell your data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models |
PipeHalo’s team can’t see your campaigns unless an admin sends a time-limited support code. More on how PipeHalo uses access to your accounts.
What you get
The daily checks that matter on Google Ads
Each campaign is judged against its own goal and history, so a campaign bidding for impressions isn’t flagged for having no conversions. The checks that do the most work on Google Ads:
- Pacing and budget: under-pacing and over-pacing on campaigns with a daily budget, and budget concentrated in one campaign.
- Costs: cost per click spiking.
- Results: spend with no conversions, plus spend with no pipeline and low-quality leads once a CRM is connected.
- Tracking: conversion tracking that may be broken, plus broken or missing UTMs once a CRM is connected.
- Creative: click-through rate dropping on an ad, compared with its own first weeks.
Money at stake, then the fix
The Action Center ranks every flag by severity and money at stake, worked out from your account’s own numbers. Each flag ends with “What to try” steps in Google Ads. A few examples:
- A campaign is spending less than its budget. Check the Search lost IS (budget) and Search lost IS (rank) columns. Google defines lost IS (rank) as impressions missed because of poor Ad Rank. If budget loss is near zero and rank loss is high, look at bids, targets and Quality Score, not budget. Full walkthrough: why Google Ads isn’t spending.
- A day spent far more than the budget. That can be normal. Google says a campaign can spend up to twice its average daily budget on a given day, and no more than 30.4 times it in a month. PipeHalo judges pacing on month-to-date spend, starting 5 days into the month, so one busy day doesn’t raise a flag. See when Google Ads overspending is a real problem.
- Conversions dropped while clicks held steady. Check the status of each conversion action in Google Ads. Google recommends counting “One” conversion per click for leads. See what to do when conversion tracking stops.
Assign a flag to a teammate, set a reminder, snooze it or mark it done. PipeHalo keeps checking, and for most flags the actions log compares the 14 days before and after you mark it done.
Pipeline by channel, when a CRM is connected
Google Ads counts conversions. Your CRM knows which became opportunities. With HubSpot or Salesforce connected, the Pipeline page credits each new deal to the channel that sourced it and puts it next to spend: leads, MQLs, SQLs, opportunities, pipeline, closed-won, cost per opportunity and pipeline per $1.
A campaign with cheap leads and no opportunities looks very different from one with pricier leads that sales actually works.
How to connect Google Ads
Setup takes about 10 minutes.
- Sign in to PipeHalo with Google, Microsoft or a one-time code sent to your work email.
- Choose Google Ads and sign in with a Google account that has access to your ad accounts.
- Approve access when Google asks.
- Pick the ad accounts you want audited, including client accounts under a manager account. They must all send people to one company’s website.
PipeHalo loads 13 months of history, and the first audit is usually ready within minutes. It covers what a Google Ads audit should, run every morning.
Frequently asked questions
Does PipeHalo change my Google Ads campaigns?
Only what you approve. Apply is off until an admin turns it on for Google Ads. Then each fix shows the exact change, before and after, and PipeHalo makes it once you approve it, within your limits. You can undo a change for 30 days, every change is listed in Change history with who approved it, and a week later PipeHalo checks whether it worked.
How much history does PipeHalo use?
13 months, synced daily, so each campaign is compared with its own past.
Does PipeHalo apply Google’s recommendations?
No. PipeHalo doesn’t apply Google’s own recommendations. It explains each problem with your own numbers and the fix most likely to work, and with Apply on, makes that fix once you approve it. You decide what changes.
